In case you are wondering, Tilt Shift (”miniature faking” to be precise) is a technique for creating the illusion of a tiny world by photographing big things and fuzzing parts out to look like macro photography … as if a shallow depth of field would have an effect.

Architects & designers are notorious for creating worlds that would, in theory, be pretty cool to live in but in reality are total pains in the ass. The website for Diller Scofidio + Renfro is no such thing; this is the coolest Web interface I’ve seen in a long time. By being new, it is inherently unfamiliar, but its intuitive interface lets you explore their projects from years past with an ease you’ll not likely find with other portfolio sites.
