I love my iPhone, but it is not everything it’s cracked up to be. Twice as fast for half the price? Not really. I wanted to believe that, but was skeptical. Nevermind that if you upgraded to the new iPhone, you also committed to an additional $15/month in ATT costs to keep keep your data plan and text messaging intact.

So here’s a class action lawsuit with some teeth on it alleging deceptive advertising on the part of Apple.

Gillis was one of several dissatisfied iPhone 3G customers who recently filed lawsuits alleging Apple falsely advertised the handset’s performance. The lawsuits stem from widespread frustration over the popular smartphone; the complaints vary from frequently dropped calls to sluggish broadband speeds and the inability to stay on 3G before it switches to the slower EDGE network.

As a colleague puts it: “Yes, this is real… Ya can’t make this stuff up. OK, you can, but why bother? This reads like an improv routine…” One the one hand, she does sport the sexy librarian look fairly well. On the other hand bbrbrbrbrbrrb what!? . Really?

Although Palin didn’t name a single newspaper or magazine when CBS News anchor Katie Couric asked where she got her information, the Alaska governor told People that she has always been a “voracious reader” and named reading _ anything from biographies to historical works _ as her favorite thing along with her children and sports.

Oh, and then there’s this little gem:

Palin said if she and husband Todd had had a sixth child, they had already picked a name for a boy joining siblings Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper and Trig.

“I always wanted a son named Zamboni,” she said.
