Shoptopia is an online social shopping experience where members can share their love for their favorite brands, discover new products, seek shopping advice from a community of friends, family and peers, and receive exclusive benefits from local shopping centers.

Why is it?

“When using more than one channel to shop for goods, 75% of consumers overwhelmingly prefer to move from online to brick-and-mortar locations,” said John Dee, president of Mallfinder Network. “We launched Shoptopia to meet the needs of these consumers and to connect them directly with brands and products available locally. We’ve partnered with Forest City as we test the concept and intend to roll out not only to Forest City’s multiple centers but in partnership with shopping centers across the country.”

Wade Norris writes on The Daily Kos that "Secretary of State of Colorado, Mike Coffman is engaging in activities that would make it easy to steal Colorado's votes, and the national election, for McCain." It all comes down to a technicality that a little dubious and far, far from the spirit of the law. It affects many people voting for the first time ever, particularly in the black community.

I’m shocked by this, but not surprised. If you are in Colorado, you have exactly till the end of Monday to make sure you’re properly registered to vote. Every month a new challenge is issued for people to submit their works. This month it’s globes, next month, mummies!

The contents of the Denver Community Museum are generated entirely by submissions from the local community. Exhibitions will change on a monthly basis. One month before an exhibition begins, an open call for participation is announced in the form of a Community Challenge, describing a particular creative project.

And … they have Pecha Kucha Night! If you haven’t heard of pecha kucha, learn it, know it.

Denver’s art scene is in that wonderful stage of nascency, like when babies are cute and only full of potential.
